Kukicha, or twig tea, is aged after harvest and dried. My Green Tea’s Kukicha contains green tea leaves and top bud stems, exuding a sweet flavor from the extra glucose left behind during the drying stage. Kukicha is slightly sweet and actually nutty in flavor and has all the benefits and properties of green tea and its many antioxidants but does not contain Theanine.

It’s incredibly abundant in Vitamins C and also contains Vitamins E & B as well as other trace minerals. Kukicha has a high calcium content (one cup contains 13 times the amount of calcium than a glass of milk!). Considered an alkalizing drink, it helps neutralize the acidity and tannins contribute to proper digestion of grains and vegetables, enhancing its benefits and vitamins.
