Yuu Wa no Shiro

Yuu Wa no Shiro is a deep green Matcha blend produced by Yamamasa-Koyamaen family.

Matcha, before going through a granite mill, is known as Tencha, or Heaven Tea.

Usually enjoyed in traditional Japanese tea ceremony, this finely powdered green tea leaf is consumed in it's entirety, allowing the drinker to experience the finest health-rich qualities the tea plant has to offer.

Yamamasa-Koyamaen family’s tea gardens produce the finest Matcha blends in Uji, Kyoto since 1861 -the oldest a tea company could possibly be in Japan. The family has been honorably mentioned by the Tea Maestro of Japan and recognized as a cultural emblem by the Ministry of Forestry, Fishery, and Agriculture.

My Green Tea is honored to provide Yuuwa no Shiro. This rich Matcha blend is usually used in a Japanese tea ceremony practice known as "koi-cha," or thick tea. Yuuwa no Shiro has a very deep vegetal consistency, followed by a slightly sweet, bitter finish.

NOTE: To enjoy full health benefits and fresh vegetal flavor of our Matcha, we recommend consuming it within 4-5 weeks of opening.
